Lip Blush is a great option to bring back the color and definition to your lips without having to always use liner or lipstick.  Lip Blush is an easy gloss and go treatment so you're out the door with minimal effort.

Color Boost

$500+

*All color boost clients will be asked to email a photo to thebrowbarhsv@Gmail.com. A lot of clients retain pigment up to (or past) two years. Going over the area too soon could compromise the integrity of the skin and cause the previous work to appear unnatural and overly saturated.

**Touchup Fees only apply if we did your original procedure*

**There will be a nonrefundable $200 deposit due at time of booking first appointment. This will be applied to total at the initial appointment.

What to expect + FAQ's

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

  • No alcohol 24 hours prior your appointment.
  • No caffeinated drinks  12 hours prior.
  • No Blood thinning medications or ibuprofen if possible.
  • Take a break from glycol’s, retinoids, vitamin c serums around the treatment area no less than TWO WEEKS prior.
  • Lasers, peels, and waxing should be done two weeks before or two weeks after your appointment.
  • Avoid sun bathing or fake tanning before your appointments to allow us to see your natural skin color and undertones.

AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT

  • NO sun, sweat or water (open bodies of water, pools or hot tubs) for 5-7 days. This will compromise your tattoo.
  • No glycol’s, retinoids, vitamin c serums for two weeks after.
  • No makeup on treated area until fully healed (7-10 days).

DAY OF APPOINTMENT

  • Please bring your favorite lipstick or gloss so we can do our best to color match without guessing. Otherwise a more natural lip color will chosen together.

  • When you arrive we’ll chat about your lip goals, clean them off and take some pictures. Then we will use a white pencil to outline the perfect shape to give balance to your overall  lip shape.

  • When you approve your lip outline, I’ll apply the numbing cream which will sit for 10 minutes.

  • Then we begin! The actual tattoo takes anywhere from 1-1.5hrs and we will be numbing you throughout the appointment so pain is very minimal if any at all.

  • When you leave your lips may be more swollen and tender if you are more on the sensitive side but most people look/feel completely fine and are able to continue their day as normal.

DAY TO WEEK AFTER

Most likely you’ll wake up the first morning after and think, “WOW, MY LIPS ARE BOLD!”. Don’t worry though, this is 100% expected and everyone experiences this. Just go with the flow and trust the process! Should you have any concerns refer back to your aftercare card or here for some reassurance!

Here’s what to expect:

  • Day 1-3 : Lips will be bold/bright and begin to tighten up and feel chapped. Remember to keep them hydrated with healing ointment provided.

  • Day 3-7 : They are probably tight/dry and started to peel!  Peeling is normal and 100% expected, continue using healing ointment during the peeling process.

  • Day 7-10 : Lips are peeling or have finished peeling and they look a little patchy. This is normal and over time color will start to reappear and even out.

After your lips have peeled they’ll feel dry and light in color. Over the next few weeks the color will start to reappear and even out. Keep using Aquaphor or a similar healing balm to restore hydration to your lips.   Cosmetic Tattoos will NEVER be as vibrant in color as lipstick on top of your skin but will give you a defined lip border and gorgeous wash of color to make everyday easier when getting ready.

What is a Cosmetic tattoo?
Cosmetic Tattoos are referred to as a few different names such as Nano, Microblading, Permanent Makeup, Micropigmentation, and Lip Blush.  While there are multiple names they are all classified as a tattoo. Here at TBB we use a tattoo machine and tiny single needles to implant pigment creating very little trauma to the skin which allows for optimal healing and lasting results.

What Is Lip Blush?

This is not your traditional permanent lip tattoo. We like to keep it soft and natural but still vibrant enough that you don't feel the need to wear lipstick. This does not totally replace lipstick but allows you to not feel the need to not wear it by giving you a perfect wash of color. Just throw on some gloss or chapstick and you're ready  to head out the door.

Does it hurt?

Typically no, you'll be numbed before and throughout the treatment.

How long does it take to heal?
7-10 days.

When and what is the touch-up?
8-12 weeks after the initial appointment. The second session is to touch up any spots that may be patchy, make minor shape changes or add more vibrancy to the color. It is a two-session process to achieve the final result. Any 8-12 week touch ups done outside of this time frame may be charged an extra fee.

How do I prepare for this appointment?

YOU MUST BE ON AN ANTI-VIRAL MEDICATION (VALTREX) 5 DAYS PRIOR AND 5 DAYS (a 10 day supply is best) to prevent a cold sore/fever blister outbreak IF you are prone to them. Please consult with your doctor to obtain this prescription.

If you are unable to obtain this medication you can take L-Lysine (over the counter) 1 week before the set appointment and 1 week after. It is important to arrive at this appointment makeup free....it can get a little messy.

When are Color Boosts done?
This is usually be done anywhere from 1-3 years after your initial appointment. Your lips should be very faded before scheduling. Please email us a photo of your lips in natural light, with products on them to be approved for a Color Boost.
